# Nunua — Frequently Asked Questions

## What is Nunua?
Nunua is an AI-powered expense tracker, budget planner, and bill manager available as a progressive web app.

## Is Nunua free?
Yes. The Free tier includes 10 receipt scans/month, 5 bill reminders/month, 3 shopping lists, and a basic budget overview. Premium starts at $9.99/month.

## How does receipt scanning work?
Take or upload a photo. Nunua's AI extracts vendor, items, prices, and total, then saves it as an expense. OCR runs on GPT-4o-mini with a Gemini fallback.

## Which currencies are supported?
150+ currencies with live exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. You can set a base currency for storage and a display currency for viewing.

## Which languages are supported?
The UI is translated into 200+ languages. Switch language in Settings or via the header language selector; the choice persists across sessions.

## Is my data secure?
Nunua uses bank-level encryption, never sells data, and gives you one-click export and deletion. Nunua does not request access to your bank accounts.

## Can my family share an account?
Yes. The Family plan supports up to 6 household members with shared bills, shopping lists, and expense splitting.

## How do bill reminders work?
Nunua sends email and in-app reminders 3 days before a bill is due. Subscription renewals also send a heads-up email 3 days before charge.

## Can I export my data?
Yes. Premium plans export all financial history as CSV or PDF from Settings → Export Data.

## Does Nunua work offline?
Yes. Nunua is a PWA with offline support — viewing and adding expenses works without internet; data syncs when you reconnect.

## How do I cancel?
Open Settings → Billing → Cancel. Data is retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
